Pre-requisites:
Relatively good physical fitness; essentially the ability to walk at least 6-8 km per day (though some days will involve less), to walk up hills, and to stand at least 3 hours at a time (i.e. while touring museums, or during town walking tours); - Willingness to tour vineyards and cellars; - An interest in Bordeaux history, culture, and traditions (though a general interest in history and different cultures is acceptable); experience with university-level history courses would be a bonus; - An interest in wine: not only its consumption, but also its history, its place in French culture, and the process by which it has been created in the past and by which it is created today.
Individuals wishing to register in this program are required to:
- Complete and sign an Application for Registration Form (pdf)
- Submit a $650.00 CAD deposit cheque made payable to Langara College - for payment by Credit Card, please call 604.323.5979
- Submit a photocopy of your passport
- Early registration is recommended to avoid disappointment, as space is limited
- Once your application has been submitted your deposit will become non-refundable in the event that you decide to withdraw or cancel your intent to participate in this program for any reason.

Cost includes:
- Pre-departure info session
- Langara College instructor/ group leader
- 5 hotel nights, double occupancy, including breakfast, in 4-star hotels, 2 nights in the city centre of Bordeaux and 3 nights in wine region of Pauillac
- 4 lunches including wines, at prestigious chateaux
- 1 buffet lunch at negociant house
- 1 gastronomic dinner at 2 Michelin star restaurant in Pauillac including wine
- 1 gastronomic dinner in Saint Emilion including wine
- 1 gastronomic farewell dinner in Bordeaux including wine
- All vineyard and winery visits with private, high quality tastings, 2-3 per day
- Bus transport in comfortable coach during the whole trip (6 days + one evening)
- One morning with “Blend your own wine workshop”

- Travel, health, cancellation, interruption, baggage insurance

- Drinks, snacks, meals not indicated as inlcuded on the itinerary

Important Information
Tour details including itineraries and pricing are subject to change and based on a minimum number of participants. Travel Visa requirements, passports and inoculations are the responsibility of the participants.
Tours normally include accommodation including daily breakfasts, some group meals, local transportation and excursions/entrance fees.
Generally excluded are GST on the educational portion of the tour, international airfares, airport transfers, insurances, tips, snacks and other personal expenditures and services not indicated as included on the itinerary.
Program costs are based on double occupancy. Room share or single rooms for a supplement on request and subject to availability.
All payments for the tour including deposits are non-refundable unless the College cancels the tour.
Langara College reserves the right to cancel any program prior to departure without penalty or liability.
