These courses, delivered entirely through live online sessions using Open Source software, will cover common principles used in the field of geographic information systems (GIS) that are of highly valued by industry through the effective use of other open source programs such as QGIS and GRASS.

In addition, these skills can be transferable to other traditional GIS platforms used by some employers; therefore, students will have highly marketable skills for a broad spectrum of employment opportunities.

Unlike other GIS courses, we do not concentrate on GIS implementation, science, programming, or enterprise-level management but rather focus is on teaching the skills related to understanding and using GIS to create cost-effective, professional-quality results.
