Do you want to become a more confident public speaker and a strong leader?
If so, the Toastmasters program could be for you.

Since 1924, Toastmasters has been a leading organization dedicated to communication and leadership development. Through its network of 16,400 clubs in 142 countries, it helps participants improve their speaking and management skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Toastmasters is a self-paced hands-on step-by-step program, which will give you the skills and confidence you need to effectively express yourself in any situation. At the weekly meetings, you will have the opportunity to practice your public speaking and management skills in a friendly atmosphere.

Whether you are a Langara student, employee, alumni or community member, you will learn to become a better public speaker, give constructive feedback, conduct meetings, and maximize your potential. Toastmasters also provides unlimited opportunities for leadership development and personal growth.

Cost

Regular member dues are $60 every six months (March and September), in addition to a one-time fee of $25 for new members.

To ensure that cost is not a barrier, Alumni and Community Engagement, Co-operative Education, People Services, International Education, and Student Engagement have come together to sponsor the Langara Toastmasters Club. This sponsorship provides subsidies for students, employees, and alumni.
