General Questions

How are our Data Analytics programs different from other similar programs?
Our programs focus on the complete data analytics process – it cover the entire life-cycle of data from extraction, transformation, analysis of data to the presentation of results. Both programs allow students to gain experience handling data using industry-standard software applications and have ample opportunity fine-tuning their soft skills to effectively communicate their findings.

Shall I apply for the Post-Degree Diploma or the Post-Degree Certificate program?
While the core content is the same, the two programs are designed for different groups of audience.

Post-Degree Certificate program is a part-time program. It is suitable for working professionals who would like to advance their career by expanding their data analytics repertoire in their spare time. Courses are offered in late afternoons or evenings to provide maximum flexibility.

Post-Degree Diploma program is a cohort-based full-time program. It is best suited for recent graduates who had completed a bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and would like to learn more about this exciting field. Sought-after soft skills (such as business etiquette, communication and presentation skills, and project management) are emphasized in this diploma so students are job ready upon graduation.
Prospective students with a non-STEM background or anyone who have several years of work experience are also encouraged to apply.

What career opportunity do I have upon completion of the program?
Graduates of the program will have ample of opportunities in area such as Data Analysts, Research Analysts, Statistical Analysts, Quantitative Analysts or Business Intelligence Analysts, Data Engineers etc.


About Post-Degree Diploma (PDD) Programs

How much time is required to complete the Post-Degree Diploma program?
The Post-Degree Diploma program is a two-year full-time program. Students can complete the program (without work experience term) in four consecutive terms (or 16 months).

Can I do part-time in the Post-Degree Diploma program?
No. The Post-Degree Diploma program is a cohort-based full-time program. 

Will I be eligible for post-graduate work permit upon graduation?
Because the Post-Degree Diploma program is a two-year program, graduates are eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) for typically 3 years.

Is the Post-Degree Diploma program open only to domestic students?
The Post-Degree Diploma program is open to both domestic students and international students.

How much is the tuition fee?

Note: The webpages only show the per-credit tuition rate. You can multiply this rate to the total number of credits of the program (say, 47 credits) to get the tuition fee. You can also find other fees in the above link besides the tuition fees.

Does the Post-Degree Diploma program admit students year round?
We have three intakes per year – January, May, and September.

When can I apply to the Post-Degree Diploma program? Is there any deadline?
You can apply to the Post-Degree Diploma program as early as 11 months before the program starts.

Shall I take IELTS Academic or IELTS General to fulfill the English requirement of the Post-Degree Diploma program?
Applicants to the Post-Degree Diploma program will have to take IELTS Academic. For more information, please refer to the IELTS Canada web site: https://www.ieltscanada.ca/ (near the bottom).

Are there any financial aid programs available in the Post-Degree Diploma program? 
No. Students in the Post-Degree Diploma program do not usually qualify for student loans or bursary. But you might be qualified for other type of financial aid. Please refer to the following website for details.

I have done some similar courses in my bachelor’s degree. Can I get transfer credits for the Post-Degree Diploma program?
No. The Post-Degree Diploma program does not accept transfer credits.

About the Post-Degree Certificate (PDC) Program

How much time is required to complete the Post-Degree Certificate program?
Students can complete this certificate program in 4-5 consecutive semesters.

Is the Post-Degree Certificate program open only to domestic students?
The Post-Degree Certificate program is open primarily to domestic students. 

Please note that international students are unlikely to get the study perimt and/or student visa approval if they are only accepted to a part-time program (like our certificate program).
